NEW WORK

Heart Stone
This piece uses my recently constructed home made pipe bender.

Tetris
For this sculpture I wanted to contrast the right angle bends of the rod with an organic leaf shape.

Annie
A bit like a baby giraffe, Annie hasn't grown into her body yet!

Rowdy Rabble

More new work!

Autumn Breeze

UNFURLING

After a long lay off from the blog world we thought it was about time we posted what we have been up to.

GRASSROOTS MARKET

With the new improved (Not that there was anything wrong before; boo hoo Upwey shop keepers) Grassroots Market is back on at various locations and we have been delighted to be involved again and to meet some lovely people who frequent this great makers market. The sculptures here were a challenge Mike and I set ourselves to make something on a small scale. The results were entered in the Deakin University Small Sculpture Competition (no luck there).

COMMISSIONS

This piece is from a series of three sculptures commissioned for a garden in Sherbrooke. It was great to work in a garden with so much love and history. The brief for this sculpture was that it would be incorporated into the trunk of the tree and that it would act as a bird bath (it can also hold ice for those summer garden parties out at the pizza oven.

MARKETS

Apart from that we have been beavering away on some pieces for future markets. This piece entitled "Unfurling" is about coming out of winter and shedding the layers as we head into the warmer months. I am really enjoying getting the garden ship shape; weeding, mulching and planting, spring has sprung!

In a snap shot thats what we have been up to. Hope to add more posts as the creative juices flow and more work comes out.
Spring cheer to all!
